I'm new to TRP, but 14 years of experience across 2 marriages and now reading a bunch of stuff that starts to clarify it, well its just left me fucking sad.
I've come to the conclusion that the type of connection/bond/what-have-you that I want out of a relationship just isn't fucking possible. Everything I've experienced myself and everything I've read here doubles down on that.
I want and tried to have relationships that where as close as blood. A wife on the same level and importance as my kids are to me. A person I would never leave under any circumstances and them to feel the same in return. A "soulmate". A "Disney fantasy".
But that appears simply impossible for a number of reasons, many of them relating directly to female biology and simply can't be helped. A woman is always assessing your current "value" whether she realizes it or not and is playing cost/benefit/risk analysis in her head subconsciously. If it tips the wrong way, it doesn't matter what your past is, how strong your bond, how many logical reasons tell her to stay, she can't help herself. It's like a fucking light switch and I've watched it happen twice in real time. "They just know it's over" and they can't even properly explain why. Hell the current one even still loves me, but can't be with me. It's fucking insane to me to hear phrases like that. But she can't help it.
And that doesn't even take into account the sexual side of things which is a whole other giant mess. Both times I watched it happen exactly as multiple TRP articles I've read reinforce. The women where falling over themselves to please me. At the start I literally could not fuck either of them enough to keep them satisfied. They would complain and sometimes cry actual tears bc I'd simply be sick of fucking them so much and just wanted to hang out. They would throw themselves all over me in all sorts of desperate ways just to get the D. By the end of both relationships I was begging just to get a cuddle on the couch.
And (from reports) there appears to be very little to do about that other than possibly having an open relationship and/or spending long periods of time apart. Sexual attraction just wanes over time for women. They can't even help it.
Anyway, yeah a "disney relationship" just isn't reality and it's fucking crushing me right now to realize.
