For the most part, I only use texting as a way of setting up dates. I do not engage in idle small talk with women via text message. Back in my blue pill days there were a few times I blew things with a woman because I overtexted her. Since then I've learned to text sparingly and do the actual seduction in person.

Why?

If you want to learn how to catch fish, you talk to a fisherman. You don't ask the fish how to best catch them. "Text sparingly" is advice that has been oft-repeated by PUAs, dating coaches, and red pill men. Texting a girl frequently makes you appear needy, and it gives her the impression that you don't have anything better to do than sit around texting her. Texting her sparingly gives you an aura of mystery, as well as making it appear as though your time is valuable. It also reduces the chances that you'll try to get cute/clever and accidentally say something cringe-worthy.

Best to never text? Yeah, okay, if you're going after mainly late 50's chicks who think email is a new, cool way to communicate.

Following Heartiste's rules work perfectly: texts should be short and to the point, DO NOT USE PERFECT grammar - in fact, misspell shit from time to time on purpose, use smilies sparingly, one text for every 2 to 3 of hers, and if she takes 10 minutes to respond to you, you take 20 to respond back.

WHy does all of the above matter? Because it shows a lot about you as a man. A guy who texts long, thought out posts, responds immediately, uses perfect grammar, and uses smilies frequently shows a scarcity, BP, NG mentality that women hate. She doesn't want a nice guy who never gets laid.

Tell me how I managed to score more than 30 girls (good looking girls, mind you) this way? I'm not even bullshitting. This was my main approach (Facebook) for three years since I didn't have much time to party. I chatted them up, met them, fucked them. This is how it works. If 10 guys write to her you better be more interesting/funny than the others.
