I was brought up to just be nice... Not with ulterior motives sexual or otherwise. I was just, well, nice about shit. If I can help someone else out, I just did it. Now that's apparently me being manipulative!?

It's amazing, isn't it? How a man can spend 10+ years being nice with 0 results to show for it, but as soon as he questions what is happening to him, he get's called "manipulative" or told "you aren't genuinely nice" or "you aren't being nice for the right reasons".
