tl;dr. I agree with some of the points in the original article but I disagree with others. A lot of these points can be directed towards men as well, but I guess anyone who doesn't take these kinds of lists with a grain of salt is a bit slow to begin with.

Breaking it down:

  1. Everyone should put themselves first, men or women. How will you sincerely be able to care for another person if you won't even put your own well-being as a priority?

  2. This I agree with. One does not get to shovel themselves with shitty food and waaaaah about the consequences; poor health and a deteriorating body.

  3. Agree. Eating clean is the path to good health.

  4. See 5.

  5. Isn't this a personal choice? Wanting/not wanting children is a personal choice. Doesn't necessarily mean that all they want is penis. You could say the same for men who want truckloads of vagina up until they want to spawn themselves, or do not want spawn and wish to go the way of the vag.

  6. If you're keeping yourself celibate and you want a celibate woman, fair enough. Kudos. But just like the fact that you can't tramp around and then say "I'm ready for a nice, stable family!" you can't give your wagging dick to every vag in town and then demand a special stepford unicorn wife.

  7. This I agree with. Goddamnit, I like my eyeliner and dresses and flowery perfume and if I hear one more person giving me shit for it I will end you.

  8. Also agree. It's usually women who tell each other 'you look tired' when what they mean is 'you need to wear makeup.' My male friends, coworkers, and my partner could give less of a shit.

  10. Agree, and also drives me bonkers. Curvy does not equal obese. I have more respect for those who accept that they are obese and are working towards a healthier lifestyle than those who state that they're actually curvy when they can't even sit themselves down in a movie theatre chair.

  12. Okay, well, this is weird. So when you go out to clubs or bars and you see a woman dressed up in heels and skirts, do you not think maybe that's how they want to dress? Would you rather them hang out by the bar in sweats and t-shirts? There's a time and place for different dress codes.

  13. Agree. Everyone should learn to get a grip on their emotions and maintain control, so I agree. Nothing worse than 30-somethings throwing tantrums in public because they didn't get what they want.

  16. What's wrong with getting married at 30? What if a young woman wanted to marry a rich older man for his money? Then she'd be a gold digger. Wouldn't you rather she wait until she had a good job and developed some character before you commit?

  18. Disagree. Why only for sex? That point was actually valid. In some countries they want their girls to be married young. In others they'd call that a silly life choice and that you should wait until your 30s.

this is just idiotic or at the very least ignorant. Adding elements to a compound or changing bonds can have massive results on the compound in question. And Hydrocodone's chemical structure is much closer to that of Morphine.

If the point of this article was that people should be allowed to make their own choices, no one would have a problem with it. Nobody walks up to fat women on the street and says "justify your fatness."

The problem is, this article uses "shouldn't have to justify" as a synonym for "shouldn't be held accountable." If you live an unhealthy lifestyle and get fat, you aren't entitled to get upset when others find you unattractive. You aren't entitled to act like a victim when you have health problems caused by fatness. Same with many of the other examples in the article: sluttiness, not wanting kids or commitment until you're old, etc.

Do whatever you want, but own the consequences.
