I am pretty pissed that when my wife and I realized that we shouldn't be together that we can't be split up in my jurisdiction. There are waiting periods, and even certain types of "almost" divorced.

Bed and Board divorce is characterized on a legal status where we are no longer married, but cannot re-marry.

The full split, as I was told by the last lawyer with whom I spoke, requires some kind of serious situation. (I caught her messing around with some guy and confronted her, she assaulted me when I wouldn't give her phone back). And now I have to figure out how to find loop holes to shorten waiting periods and even have legal grounds for divorce.

It's maddening how much red tape is placed in front of men who know they need to get on with their lives elsewhere.

I'm not asking for advice, but I'm sure there are those out there like me who know exactly what I'm talking about, and any shared frustration is all I'm expecting.
