Free contraception leads to less unwanted children, which leads to less economic destruction and a net reduction of cost. Contraceptive pills are very cheap compared to any single child.

If it is so cheap, women shouldn't mind paying that little bit extra to cover that and related services.

Edit:

In a link I provided in a comment, the increase of female rates from 20-30 is 55% on average, compared to a 99% increase for men. I don't think that is trivially cheap.

I mean as an overall cost to society. I doubt free contraception is a major part of the insurance premium increases, the things are actually fairly cheap. Women are just more medically expensive in general, they use services more, need yearly gyno exams, get pregnant, etc, etc. Free contraception is just one small part of it.

The people most likely to have unwanted children and cause the most damage are the ones least able to afford contraception.

Contraception, and even abortions since they don't happen all that often, are pretty cheap. So men might have a good investment there overall.

The rest of the stuff should be more directly paid by women through higher insurance premiums. If they get pregnant and decide to keep it, they should pay the costs. Not single guys who aren't getting any from her.

This enables women to get preggered by losers, and subsidized by responsible incel betas. This is a huge moral hazard. It is the definition of the feminine imperative trumping the interests of men.

The biggest question regarding these issues is, I believe, whether or not there is a subconscious motivation on the part of alpha males who are running society to implement policies that improve their "harems" while fucking over their rivals.

This isn't meant to be a diatribe against any form of state medicine, as I consider certain types of healthcare to be an investment in society worth making. It is to point out that this implementation, like most feminist influenced laws, is grossly unfair to men. Men pay for the services women use, which men don't. Men pay to employ a large majority of women to administer those services.

There are a number of health care services that you will never need in your life that others will need to use, either through their own negligence, genetics, environmental factors, or trauma/accidents. Focusing on contraceptive services, altogether a small fraction of overall healthcare services, is taking a very myopic view of the changes being implemented by the ACA.

Also, the ACA hasn't been implemented yet, so it has no bearing on any of the statistics cited in that article.

I'm not saying the services shouldn't be offered. I am saying the pricing should reflect who uses the services more. Women use the service, they should pay more. Especially since they are so liberated and shouldn't need to be subsidized by men.

This would also massively increase the pricing for old people, at worst until it is no longer affordable.

Also the difference in usage of health services between women and men is likely not women (generally) abusing the system but men not using it as often as they should. Men are known to ignore a lot of health problems, ultimately until it is too late. Their lower life expectancy is possibly linked to this.

Disclaimer: this may vary between different countries and different forms of health insurance.

The gap is small in this age group but gets bigger with age. A good part is caused by the system itself, women are offered way more screenings, i.e. for various gyn problems/cancers/etc., at a way earlier age. Women also tend to admit psychiatric problems more easily although it is not clear if women simply have more psychiatric diseases like depression or men just don't get diagnosed enough.
It seems to be that men are unwilling to admit several health problems because it damages their self-perceived masculinity.

As with all complex systems it is not easy to say what's cause and effect.

Sure, and again the price of that service is relatively small vs the average expenditure per patient.

There are mechanisms in place to target patients using the system excessively in order to reduce their healthcare usage. In addition to addressing the problem of healthcare expenditures at the patient level, a less popular incentivized system that is being put in place is hospital penalties for readmissions for particular medical reasons (heart failure, COPD exacerbations). I say less popular because in certain cases it's very difficult if not impossible to have patients effectively control their symptoms.

But another way to think about it is that yes, we men pay for services women use but that's also because we are directly affected by some of those services, and in some cases we even desire it. Think of contraceptive services, for example.

I think state healthcare is very important. I think the ACA should have done a lot more but it was a step in making us think and accept that to a limited extent (although clearly some republicans haven't)

I wouldn't mind so much if this kind of stuff was doled out equally, or if there was some acknowledgement and gratitude directed from society and women for the sacrifice men are being forced to make for them. but I won't hold my breath for mandate requiring women to pay the same amount for auto or life insurance. And I also don't expect anything but demanding attitudes of entitlement.
