I'm confused why this woman is making the news. Who cares if she's a virgin or not?

[–]TheRabid 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm guessing that the people who run the NYPOST think that this fits into their target market.

Note to self, put anything coming from the NYPOST in my kill filter.

I'm confused why this woman is making the news. Who cares if she's a virgin or not?

Her publicist... and the theater (which advertises in the paper) that is putting on and profiting (or hoping to) from her show.

Plus, if you aren't aware there are many people with an variety of agendas, most of which are designed to undermine anything and everything that could be called a "traditional value" or "family"... on the path to their larger goals.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Because she was waiting for marriage but some how she became a huge bitch and not only threw her virginity away to some stranger but she also cheated on the man who she might have married.

No they broke up and then five years later she lost her virginity. Just saying.

edit: I'm getting downvoted because I made a FACTUAL correction? Really? Jaysus.

This is reddit. Don't sweat the votes. You may get downvoted by anyone for any reason. They may not be subscribers. They may not have fully digested their RedPills.

They're imaginary votes for imaginary reputation on a virtual space. If they're important to you, your red pill is still descending your esophagus.

Oh...I'm actually not really "swallowing" the red pill, so to speak. But thanks for the...kind words?

No surprise at all. I feel bad for the original boyfriend also, because he learned how women work too late in the game

If anything this should reinforce the basics on this sub

I agree with /u/itsmehobnob. But this made it to the very tip top of /r/TheRedPill so I read some of. By some of I mean "Oh my god this is so boring and nothing but self promotion I'll just read every 3rd line looking for something to care about."

Here is what I took away.

I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. But, by this point, it was even harder for me to lose my virginity. What kind of man wants all that pressure — to deflower a grown, working woman in her mid-20s?

A co-worker at Whole Foods stated my worst fear: “You better hurry up and get that taken care of, or you’ll just be an old virgin.”

Suddenly, I was on a mission: I wanted to ooze sex appeal. For most of my life, I’ve been a jeans-and-T-shirt kind of gal, but I started wearing short skirts and makeup. Now that I looked the part, I actually started to feel it.

The wall, she hit it.

Lots of guys were interested, and I dated a lot. For a virgin, I really got around. But I didn’t want to have sex with just anyone. It had to be the right guy.

Not so desperate as to give her cherry for free. This guy had to have money and show it.

Three years passed. I still hadn’t done it. It was clear that just changing my clothes and my attitude wasn’t going to cut it. I had to do something drastic. I had to pick a guy and just do it.

Now she is desperate and realizing that finding that billionaire tycoons might not be into her regardless of noone ever being in her crawl space.

We went on vacation in St. Croix for a weekend sexcapade. . . .Everyone was telling me sex would be bad the first time (another reason I put it off), but it was worse than I thought it would be. He wasn’t affectionate or attentive. The rest of the trip was just awkward. We only did it once

She sold her cherry for a free two way ticket to a weekend vacation to the first guy willing to show her some money.

Today I look back and I admit I’ve had regrets — about waiting so many years, about doing it with him — but no more. I believe it was supposed to happen that way, with him, at that time.

Hamster gonna hamster. It was supposed to happen that way because obviously she made no mistakes in her life.

Why even marry?

[–]Cthulu2013 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Let's be honest, we're all here because some girl broke our heart and now we can't even imagine ever instilling trust in one again.

I can still hope that one day, just one day, one will persist long enough to warrant some higher emotion

[–]TheRabid 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm not saying that you shouldn't have a long term relationship with someone. I'm not saying that you shouldn't live with someone for decades.

But why marry? Don't get me wrong, if you have an emotional attachment to the and it means something to you, then great! Fill your boots.

For me, I've (unfortunately) seen it primarily as a snare or a weapon used in bad relationships. I've also seen it bankrupt couples who weren't well off financially. My view is that people who want to be together can be together. A piece of paper can't change that.

[–]Cthulu2013 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Great and fair point. I always loved the idea of seeing my ex on the altar, lovely when that ideal just burns in front of your eyes.

Everyone was telling me sex would be bad the first time (another reason I put it off), but it was worse than I thought it would be. He wasn’t affectionate or attentive. The rest of the trip was just awkward. We only did it once.

Any relationship I've ever been in where it seems as though the woman was holding out changed everything from being about being in a healthy relationship to just getting laid.

Not being able to "see the experience through" results in frustration, and then all I want to do is rid myself of that frustration. So if/when we eventually do end up having sex, it's like I get this feeling that I've accomplished what I had set out to do (even though getting laid wasn't what I had actually set out to do).

These women that hold out because they want to give it up for some special reason, or don't want to be viewed as just some "sex object" are sort of just cutting off their noses in my opinion.

I always feel like sex is the elephant in the room, and if it doesn't get talked about (had), everything else seems kind of frustrating and fake to me.

I don't know if that makes sense, but it's like the bigger deal a woman makes sex out to be, the more trivial everything else becomes, and when (I) finally "get it" I'm usually just like "wow, that totally wasn't worth it."

[–]AnasRexGottfried 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

If a woman isn't willing to sleep with you by the second or third meet-up, quit wasting your time and find one that will. Make sure you are framing things so that sex is a possibility, that is, take her back to your place, at night, set the mood, etc.

Cooking for women is a great way to get them to bed.

[–]TRP1988 15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Well this kind of thinking leads to a problem.

It's a common consensus in this sub that any woman who has ridden the cock carousel is not worth a long-term relationship.

At the same time, most think the same as you do. You should be fucking a girl by the 2nd or 3rd date.

Well, I have no clue if I want a LTR with a particular girl after only 2 or 3 dates. Nobody does.

I'm not the only person who sees the problem with this thinking, am I?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is not a problem. If you want to get married you should be targeting young girls, like in the 18-22 range. If you find one that isn't in the 'party lifestyle' and hasn't been popped yet it would be worth pursuing. Otherwise a marriage should not even be considered.

[–]enticingasthatmaybe 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, I have no clue if I want a LTR with a particular girl after only 2 or 3 dates. Nobody does.

If she is fun to be around and not a crazy bitch you'll keep seeing her until it turns into a LTR. That's the point. Sluts that rode the carousel were rejected for relationships after sex occurred because sex was all they had to offer.

The difference between a slut and LTR material is that while both are pumpable, only sluts are dumpable.

[–]iseeyou1312 -5 points-4 points-3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The logic ls flawless. The problem is with society.

LTRs are fine with cock carousel riders. But marriage and kids aren't.

Blue pill society is so obsessed with a woman's virginity. These are the men who place so much of their own self-worth on what a woman's actions & thoughts are that they can't stand the thought of another guy plowing their "beloved", even if the guy is no longer in the woman's life.

Blue pill men don't derive their sexual self-worth from within. Their mantra of "please the womyn" instead makes them believe that they are only "good lovers" if they can please every whim & desire of the woman. Therefore, when they find out that their woman hasn't given them the 100% that they emotionally & financially gave to her (aka fucked other dudes), they freak out about it. Hence, the historical & current obsession with virginity.

if it turned out that she was plowed by the entire football team in the lockerroom it was no concern of mine because "it didn't change who she was inside"

Ironically it probably DID change who she was "inside".

She was probably infected with, and is probably now the carrier of several types of HPV and assorted other STD's -- most of which are "long fuse" and will only show up as cervical cancer (or oropharyngeal cancer in subsequent male partners that visit muff-town) a decade or more later.

You're wrong if you think I can't shame other men about their standards IF those standards are based on blue pill thinking.

And you massively misunderstood my comment. I'll explain why:

1) I never said I wanted a slut or am apathetic. Yet, you to try to paint my statement of not valuing virginity as only one of those two options. That's effective strategy to make your argument look better because you are providing two non-viable options. The reality is I never said either of those...

I said simply that requiring virginity as an absolute necessity is unrealistic and the result of BP thinking. I never made any claim that men should only be with sluts or else they are apathetic. A negative claim towards requiring virginity does NOT equal a positive claim towards sluts or apathy.

2) Regarding your evolutionary/historical reasons for virginity, those are much different reasons than what BPs use to justify their close-mindedness. I specifically and clearly attacked how BP men require virgins for reasons of their OWN insecurity & possessiveness; I never made any statement about legitimate biological/evolutionary reasons to prefer virginity (such as childbearing, etc).

Ok, fair enough. I get what you're saying. I just wanted to make it clear that I wasn't doing what you were saying. I would think you would agree with me that a guy wanting a virgin because he is afraid he will lose her if another man got a chance is not very RP. But to want a virgin because research has shown that virgins may form stronger attachments to their first mate would be totally understandable.

Universally as in across cultures and time periods. Irrespective of religion or values, female virgins were always highly sought after for marriage, paid as tribute, etc... It doesn't matter what the fuck you personally think about virgins.

Nah, I got it right. Or else how do you explain that global society, which is decidedly blue pill (or else there wouldn't be this subreddit), highly values virginity if they don't care about a woman's past?

Blue Pillers do care about a woman's past greatly. They are the ones highly obsessed with the alpha ex bf who comes to town and the past guy she didn't tell him about but kept his photos. Just pop over to /r/relationshipadvice and see the carnage of BP tears.

[–]iseeyou1312 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Go to the sub reddit /r/TheBluePill and make a thread - "Am I right to judge a woman over he sexual past, especially whether or not if she is a virgin?". Nuff said.

[–]1thrownaway_MGTOW 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

global society, which is decidedly blue pill

No, it isn't.

Only western developed nations suffer from that disease. The vast majority of the world's population (especially those that care significantly about female virginity) do not.

[–]RedSunBlue 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Hence, the historical & current obsession with virginity.

I believe the generally accepted historical explanation as to why people started giving a shit about virginity is that once humans transitioned from hunter-gatherer to agrarian societies, land ownership and inheritance became a big deal, leading to the need for assured paternity.

[–]16 TRP VanguardTRPsubmitter 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Your explanation is a really good alternative reason and something I didn't consider at all. However, I don't think insecure guys who are contacting marriage brokers for a virgin from Ukraine or Russia are considering land ownership, at least not in modern times. Perhaps men from Saudi Arabia are...but they are also basing their decision on other BP things such as concepts of "owning" the woman as property instead of earning her sex.

The thing I have a problem with is all the other comments here trying to use biology as an excuse/shield to care about a woman's virginity. That is just ONE reason and while it was certainly the evolutionary basis for this, it would be disingenuous to pretend it's the ONLY reason.

On the other hand, the other reasons are cultural/societal and usually stem from ownership and becoming "offended" or losing your "honor" if another guy happens to have higher SMV and sleeps with your wife. I think that's more common these days. And that's obviously BP in nature.

[–]RedSunBlue 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

the other comments here trying to use biology as an excuse/shield to care about a woman's virginity.

Actually, male primate genital size is directly correlated with female promiscuity. Chimps and bonobo females fuck all the time with numerous partners and the males have giant testicles. Female gorillas only fuck the silverback of their group, who has an inch long penis with testicles the size of kidney beans.

If virginity and mate fidelity were things that humans have always been biologically driven to select for, why do we have the biggest cock 'n balls of all the primates?

[–]iseeyou1312 -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I think it dates prehistory. If you, as a man, are going to invest over a decade of your life expending your time and energy to gather food for a child and raise it, you are going to want to make sure that the child is yours. If she is a virgin, then that acts as a guarantee. If she isn't, then she could be pregnant with anyone.

[–]RedSunBlue 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

From Sex at Dawn, by Christopher Ryan:

A great deal of research from primatology, anthropology, anatomy, and psychology points to the same fundamental conclusion: human beings and our hominid ancestors have spent almost all of the past few million years or so in small, intimate bands in which most adults had several sexual relationships at any given time. This approach to sexuality probably persisted until the rise of agriculture and private property no more than ten thousand years ago. In addition to voluminous scientific evidence, many explorers, missionaries, and anthropologists support this view, having penned accounts rich with tales of orgiastic rituals, unflinching mate sharing, and an open sexuality unencumbered by guilt or shame.

[omitted]

Once people were farming the same land season after season, private property quickly replaced communal ownership as the modus operandi in most societies. For nomadic foragers, personal property— anything needing to be carried— is kept to a minimum, for obvious reasons. There is little thought given to who owns the land, or the fish in the river, or the clouds in the sky. Men (and often, women) confront danger together. An individual male’s parental investment, in other words— the core element of the standard narrative— tends to be diffuse in societies like those in which we evolved, not directed toward one particular woman and her children, as the conventional model insists.

But when people began living in settled agricultural communities, social reality shifted deeply and irrevocably. Suddenly it became crucially important to know where your field ended and your neighbor’s began.

[omitted]

Land could now be possessed, owned, and passed down the generations. Food that had been hunted and gathered now had to be sowed, tended, harvested, stored, defended, bought, and sold. Fences, walls, and irrigation systems had to be built and reinforced; armies to defend it all had to be raised, fed, and controlled. Because of private property, for the first time in the history of our species, paternity became a crucial concern. But the standard narrative insists that paternity certainty has always been of utmost importance to our species, that our very genes dictate we organize our sexual lives around it. Why, then, is the anthropological record so rich with examples of societies where biological paternity is of little or no importance? Where paternity is unimportant, men tend to be relatively unconcerned about women’s sexual fidelity.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The neolithic revolution was 12k years ago. The concept of paternity is thought to be about 100k years ago.

[–]iseeyou1312 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In societies that remained nomadic and never cultivated the land, such as the Native Americans Plain Tribes and Australian aboriginals, the concept of paternity still existed. How exactly does one determine the value of paternity thousands of years ago before writing and no living accounts? Source is too vague with no specific examples.

Hence, the historical & current obsession with virginity.

Bzzzt. Wrong.

The historical "obsession" with virginity (and monogamy) was a biologically VALID thing -- both in terms of reproduction and disease (as well as the additional psychological aspects).

The modern mentality is primarily a result of the advent of antibiotics (and contraception/abortion on demand) -- and the illusion that it no longer matters -- which is, quite frankly... a delusion.

I blame the guys who dated her thinking they'd be the ones to change her. Such women are best avoided.

Once you realize women are crazy, illogical beings and its not their fault. Everything falls into place.

I am saving sex for marriage, and I am curious to see what you guys think. I have no dating experience, and I do NOT plan on lying in bed naked with a man before I am married (if you read the article that is what the lady did). I also am okay with being an "old virgin". I read about herbivore women in Japan and would be okay with that lifestyle. Thoughts/ opinions?

Didn't she say that she lost her virginity in St. Croix?

Yeah but she broke the promise she was keeping for herself and her word with the men she was with in the past. And she did lie down naked with the 2 year relationship guy and couldn't do the act with him.
