Temper is the characteristic many American women would like to change in men and most females think a mid-life crisis is just an excuse for men to behave badly, according to a survey released on Monday.

Women have an opinion about men and think men need to change? I'm shocked.

Or maybe it's when a man realizes that he has more SMV than his wife now that he's 35 or 40 and then goes out to enjoy it. This is why women shame the "midlife crisis". It's when non Red Pill men get a glimpse of their worth, and while late, it's not too late. But women must keep that realization as being considered a shameful and ridiculous thing or else men will break away and take their delicious, sweet earnings away from their 35-40 year old wives who no longer have any SMV.

What is a midlife crisis, exactly?

Wikipedia says: "Midlife crisis is a term coined in 1965 by Elliott Jaques stating a time where adults come to realize their own mortality and how much time is left in their life"

A guy realizes that he worked his ass off all his life for an ungrateful brat (and his kids). He's 35-40 years old and wants to spend some of the "family money" (AKA money he worked hard for) on himself instead of the entitled ones around him. His wife isn't as hot as she used to be. She CERTAINLY isn't sexing him like she used to. He feels like this is it. It'll only get worse from here. So he goes out and buys a motorcycle. The wife is screaming up and down, but he smiles and doesn't care as he changes the oil on his new toy.

So he rides this motorcycle. Some of his friends do the same. Suddenly, attractive 20+ women are hitting on him. They want to ride on the bike, etc. He feels "young" again (but actually is in his prime). He realizes that while his wife is an asexual whale, he is a god among men. He has sexual value that his wife had when she was 18 (and never had again). Some guys are smart and lift weights all throughout their 20's and 30's so that when this "crisis" hits, they are ready to enjoy the fruits of their labors properly.

So it is no surprise these unfashionable frumps don't like their workhorses getting uppity and hamstering this as "behaving badly". As for all the other responses, they can be translated as "be more obediant, don't fall out of line"

You are NOT kidding VV when you said how ridiculous men look to others when they are shouting out loud "I can't handle my aging" by dying their hair jet black, snaggin' a babe to hang their arm on, buying a convertible sports car, etc. It really does look quite silly to me as well. Certainly, it doesn't make me desire this guy. I feel more pity than anything else.

Pity? Really now. I think a cougar looks far more desperate than a guy with a hot chick on his arm driving a sports car.

Maybe this man realized that his life is half over and that he should enjoy himself and travel but he cant because he is tied down to a nagging wife and unpayable mortgage

IIRC, the alleged Mid Life Crisis occurs not dependent upon the man's age, but rather when his partner approaches menopause/infertility age point.

That is a 28 year old man with an older, menopausal spouse tends to exhibit the same behavior as a 55 year old man with a female partner hitting the same infertility point.

i.e., it is likely just the man moving on to the more fertile women, and therefore biology.

I refuse to call what I'm going through a "midlife crisis." I have a female friend who's even older than I am who keeps throwing that term around left and right, complete with grousing about how "ridiculous" a guy my age (41) looks when he goes out and gets a hot babe to hang on his arm. Her favorite thing to point out is that I will never get a hot babe since I'm not rich and don't have a Ferrari. Ferraris are the only reason why pretty young women date guys my age. So spaketh the cougar, and cougars never lie.

(Actually she's boning a fat bald guy in his 60s and she's telling me how tired of alphas she is, and how grateful she is just to settle down and be comfortable. Spin hamster spin.)

As far as the timing goes, maybe it's just a coincidence, but one of the key trigger events for me was my first baby trap reaching the age of no more child support. No more child support equals freedom at last, so what do I want to do with my freedom? Continue being exclusively monogamous with a fat chick who doesn't take care of herself? Uh. No.

18 months to go on the other baby trap.
