She's only half right. If you show too much weakness to women, they will find you unattractive. If you show too much weakness to your male friends, they will find other friends. A weak man is useless. But that's not "the patriarchy" that's just fucking reality. But the idea of patriarchy, as she uses it, is wrong and destructive. The idea that male weakness is bad is not some mutable social construct, it's an essential aspect of masculinity.

I am personally glad that there are social punishments for a being weak man, because I want to have incentives to be strong. The blue pill society whispers in your ear, "it's ok to be weak, it's ok to show your feelings". They say it with good intentions, but if you believe it, it will undermine your masculinity.

I'm not saying you should never show your emotions, but not all emotions are good for you, and some are enfeebling.

Never let them see you bleed.

that was great, thank you

Once you swallow the red pill, you realize that as men, we don't get to 'show our emotions'. Femi-nasty shaming of men who aren't emotionally available is a shit test, which you pass by continuing to be emotionally unavailable.

If we are emotional, the bros will laugh at us and the hos will find us revolting.

It's our lot in life to bottle it up and deal. That's the way it is.

Show emotions, just don't show your real emotions.

Jesus christ, I just found this sub and I've been trying to figure it out but holy hell you people need new friends. Don't waste your time on "bros that laugh at you" or "hos" that find you revolting. Why are you friends with people that you can't be real with? You guys are blaming everyone but yourselves in this. It's their fault for not being a good friend right? Wrong, they don't have to be your friend. Find people who want to be. Go get what you want.

Very true but I personally believe that it's not necessarily wrong for it to be 'shameful' for men to show their weaknesses

Okay so I've just been reading through these comments and it is just... sad. So many generalizations have been made and so many assumptions. People, no matter who they are, are deeper than the "bro" or "ho" persona that they put up. Maybe they want to be real but don't know how to be so they make fun of you to defend themselves. Maybe they just don't like you that much so they don't want to be that emotionally invested in you. Maybe they're just assholes who think being real isn't manly like you say (but these people are few and far between).

Be friends with the people you want to be friends with. Be friends with people who care about you. Just because you can't find any now doesn't mean you should stop looking. This is your only life, don't fucking waste it blaming everyone else. You're the common denominator.

I have tons of friends, but I don't want friends who will encourage me to be an emasculated little bitch. That's not being real, that's being a pussy. If the real you is a pussy, that doesn't mean you need to find friends who can accept the real you, it means you need to change the real you into a real man. You do that through struggle, through pain, through discipline and sacrifice. When I choose my friends, I try to choose people who understand those values. That is "being real".

If I feel pain, I don't want a shoulder to cry on, I want someone to slap me and tell me to man the fuck up.
