First of all, my understanding of "the red pill" was that everyone else thinks the world operates one way, but it actually operates a different way. This video doesn't seem to fit that narrative. Everyone knows that dates are expensive. So I don't get why you posted this.

More importantly, this guy is an idiot.

For starters, you can't count a $40 tank of gas as a date expense unless you burn all of that gas as part of the date. If you pick the girl up, then maybe you spend $10 in gas. But here's a tip: never pick a girl up for a first date! Have high enough standards that you're willing to bail if she's boring or rude to you. That means meeting her somewhere and chatting and if she's not cool, saying "bye" without having to drive her home.

Next he talks about movies. Really? A movie? Are you in fucking high school? Taking a girl to a movie on any date is pathetic. On a first date? WTF are you thinking??

Someone direct this moron to this thread so that I can give him some advice. Here's a template for a first date: find a free entertainment venue. There's always some place that has a live band or a comedy show or something. Hell, I've been to poetry readings. It was actually cool.

Don't tell the girl about this venue (unless she needs to dress a certain way). For a first date, ask her to meet you for drinks. Meet at a quiet place and chat. Spend maybe $20 on drinks. Meet late enough that she's already had dinner. In fact, specifically ask what time she normally finishes dinner and say, "great so let's meet after that" so you're being clear.

If you guys hit it off, tell her that you know about something cool happening someone else, and ask her to go with you.

For bonus points, find a weekly venue and become friends with the performers. I personally have three. Last night, I was at a dueling piano show where I know one of the girls. Saturday, there's a blues club I go to where a beautiful girl with an amazing smoky voice sings. Sunday morning, I know a girl who plays guitar in a restaurant during brunch.

I'm not like good enough friends with any of these people that we hang out or whatever, but they know me by name and will give me a hug during breaks. I also know other regulars. The point is, I can take a girl to something like this and it's clear I have a social life.
