I'm finding as I progress plates and dates are starting to react differently to my modest SMV, but also RMV.

So when we start to bang on the regular, they send messages seeking validation / comfort.

And this is not something I've had experience with managing before.

How do I best deal with this: i) Ignore? ii) With jokes? iii) Deflect?

​

Specific example:

Her: "We should set up something"

Me: "Yep. I'm busy later this month, so if we don't now I'll be out of action for ages."

Her: "Ouch. Way to make a girl feel special."

I should just ignore this right and say, "On X day lets do Y thing."
