I’ve been seeing a girl for the past year. She was originally a plate, but has climbed up and is potentially LTR material. However, she hit me with an ultimatum.

Investment wise, I can confidently say that the ratio of investment between her and I is 2:1. However, we recently had a fight and is now asking for me to choose between her and another girl (my ex).

Background information on her: Grew up without a dad, but had a strong father figure in her life while growing up, has a solid career, and is a world-class level athlete. Buys me food, gifts, and sex whenever. Provides me with updates about her day without me asking and invites me to her family events.

PROBLEM: We both kept in touch with our exes due to unavoidable circumstances (all in a team). She proceeded to talk to hers on a day-to-day basis whereas I kept my interactions strictly platonic. I discovered this because I saw their text notifications. Called her out on this and she apologized, stating that she didn’t realize her continuing to be be friendly with an ex was anything but platonic. Also cut him off immediately the morning after.

Petty side of me decides to get even and I escalate my interactions with my ex (she’s currently a soft plate). I openly interact with my ex, current girl sees this on social media and brings it up about a month later, stating that she’s uncomfortable with me talking to my ex again. Tells me to make a choice and she only wants what’s best for me: continue to interact with my ex (for our sports stuff) or cut her off. She said she doesn’t know what she’d do if I chose my ex, but I could tell that she’s leaning towards tapping out.
