Hello, everybody.

I thought that this day would never come. But here it is, in all of its bittersweet glory.

I've been burned badly in life by two-faced people, women, and society. Aspects of it are too traumatizing for me to talk about at length, or as a matter of fact — talk about at all. Let's just say that for 30 years of my life (I turn 30 next month) I've been treated more like a machine than like a human with desires, wants, and the need to be accepted. My dignity and my trust was laid bare for everybody to see, (and ridicule), and my very real hopes, dreams, and aspirations were spat upon...and I was the one who was wrong for them.

And yes, women have hurt me, used me, and tricked me throughout my life. And yes, there were a few who were blatantly two-faced with me. Right from my formative years. But...as an exclusively heterosexual man, I cannot help but love them. What else can I do? I'm not in control of that aspect of my feelings. What I can do, is regain some semblance of control over my life. I can provide some direction to my heart. I can reclaim my dignity. I guess that is part of why I'm here. Maybe...I'm an idiot. But even after everything, I cannot muster up true dislike and disdain for the opposite sex.

What I do agree with, is that men are misunderstood beings. In very simple terms, I feel that we are damned if we do, damned if we don't. As far as the sexual and romantic game is concerned, society NEVER acknowledges our side of the story. And as the saying goes, there are two sides to every story, just as there are two sides to every coin.

We are unfairly judged and dissected by society, while women are given a pass for the exact same things that we are torn apart for. Don't take this the wrong way, just as the RedPill FAQ states, feminism is a necessary part of societal evolution. It is natural, and there is nothing wrong with it. Feminzaism is a separate matter, but feminism is justified. But as it also states, this phenomenon has thrown male psyches off whack. It has created a situation where ideology is increasingly confused with fanaticism and morality.

This is why I firmly believe that men need a community where they are not judged, where they can expand their horizons and grow without the ridiculous double standards espoused by society in certain aspects of gender politics. As far as society is concerned, especially in the domain of gender politics, men are always going to be perceived as wrong. As I said, damned if you do, damned if you don't. Without conscious awareness, and discourse, it is just going to get worse and worse and worse.

It basically boils down to this: Equality is an illusion, a necessary illusion. Anyone who has the self-respect and decency to stand up for the idea in itself, is demonized and shunned by society. You just cannot subconsciously condone inequality, the very inequality that is working AGAINST you, and then call someone who consciously fights for equality as "evil".

As for my question to ask TRP: it might seem simple, but it is bound to have rather complicated answers — how do you guys not let cynicism get to you? This is not just in the context of getting burned by women (although it is applicable), I'm talking about societal politics and unfairness in general. I'm sure everyone has experienced this to some extent in their lives, and it especially hurts in the context of relationships. What strategies are effective in that sense?
