I've known a sort of acquaintance for awhile. A friend of a friend. She has been off and on with her ex since I met her a few months back. He dumped her over something mundane but turns out the real reason was he was banging another girl and wanted to go to her. They split and he comes crawling back and she takes him back. Then a couple months later he wrecks her car and won't pay for it so they split again. But she starts talking to him again. So this girl is probably pretty fucked up in the head.

I have been out and messed around with her before but she ends up going back to the ex again.

We hung out last week and were making out at her place but I couldn't close the deal. The next day she texts me and says she had a lot of fun and can't wait to see me later in the week (when we had agreed to hang out again). Then the day comes to hang out and she totally blows me off.

I am wondering if I came off too nice or showed too much interest when we hung out last. I know she is the type of girl you have to not be nice too and kind of a jerk to but I do like her more than I should and that may have came out in my vibe and interactions. Like setting up another meet up when the previous one was ending instead of waiting a week to text her and set it up

So my question is, if I came on too strong, nice, or clingy etc. Would she have initiated the contact the next day and said she had fun and wants to see me? Obviously at some point she decided to push me away for whatever reason. I've always been a "nice guy" and I'm trying to break the habit

I also seem to have to sit and overanalyze every situation that doesn't work out for me. Is that a problem and how do I not do that. I always say I must have done something wrong.... What was it?
