Started talking to a junior from my discipline in college. Initiated a conversation over Insta but never decided to meet one on one. Saw her everyday in the canteen and always caught her making eye contact. Randomly decided to message her for going to lunch together in the canteen and we went. It lasted for around 40 mins, couldn't perform kino but made sure to use push/pull while making convo. Didn't contact her until 2 days later via Insta just to build some rapport. Today I again messaged her again with the intent of asking her out for a date

Me : Not going home on the weekend?

She : Friend is staying back so I decided to stay back too

Me : Great. Let's go for a good lunch on Saturday to place name. It'll make a great date too..

She : I don't like going far away from college so let's do something near by (my campus is in the outskirts of the city and has nothing decent to do)

And it's not actually a date

Me : Okay cool then we'll see

She : cool

Replies again after 40 mins

Can someone explain me what's going on here ?
