Every time I go out with friends, I always end up doing better with girls if I break away from the group. There's less power struggle, and you can make decisions without dealing with group bullshit.

The problem long term with this is I will never do well in necessary group events. Let's say I bring my girlfriend to a coworker gathering. There is a certain etiquette necessary for making situations like this work, and I'm not sure if I want to play that game.

Anything wrong with just thriving solo or will I need to learn to function in a group long term?
