I remember reading this book when I was very young, as I recall the advice is all about being a people pleaser. Thats the road to betadom and friendzone in my opinion.

You can apply almost anything Carnegie says to do while maintaining frame and confidence and you would only come off as social and friendly, not beta.

This was the first thought I had when I saw the title posted here as well. Still, I found a lot of the "influence people" parts to be useful (such as his example of how a dog's genuine eagerness and friendliness can easily win the heart of any person), and I think the book could be helpful to a person with the right frame. Just take everything written with a grain of salt. Or a dose of the red-pill.

This is an excellent book. Although some of the concepts are slightly outdated (dealing with american women mainly), it remains one of the best sources for the art of human communication.
