I texted this girl I've met a few times at events that I wanted to hang out with her, along the lines of "hey, let's grab something to drink tonight!". She texted back, some what coldly, "Sorry, have other plans tonight". Didn't expect this because it seemed that we clicked. Trying to not look butthurt, I replied, "cool I'll let you know when I want to hangout next time."

It really sucks, her reaction seemed to be 180 degrees from what I had expected. There was no scheduling from her. I'm considering whether I should soft next, or give her another chance and text her once more. I'll definitely be seeing her again at events. What should I do?
