What does any of this have to do with "chivalry"?

Men and Comfort: I am ex-military and our motto was "home is where you dig it". I spent more nights than I can recall in a 6-foot tench or "hooch". However, the middle class ideal of a detached house with a white picket fence was not some feminist conspiracy imposed on men. Men want a sense that something is "mine" (my porch, my yard, my swimming pool, my rec room, my comfy chair that I sit in to drink beer and watch NFL). Men like comfort and a good woman adds to their comfort.

Women's Magazines: They are undoubtedly a weird echo chamber of sorts. However, consider the hypocrisy generated if you accept that "to catch fish, consult with a fisherman, don't ask the fish". It's a Red Pill meme that you don't ask women what they want but rather ask guys who have been successful with women as to what those women wanted. Maybe it's because guys are much simpler than women. If an article says "20 ways to keep your man happy" it is suspect. Unless the first 15 are "suck dick like a champ" I dunno. I can't think of half a dozen or a dozen things that go beyond common courtesy and basic non-bitchiness that make me happy in more than a fleeting, cutesy way.

On Cat Calls: I think the tipping point is "Looking fine [ladies] (if more than one)" Not really a good opener, but if I am out with the boys I am not necessarily looking to get laid. Played straight with no follow up, and you usually get a smile. The one's who tell you to fuck off are cunts. The thing is, the point at which that line draws legal repercusions, society is done.

"Just because I'm dressed this way, does NOT... Make me a whore." - yes it does. . .sort of. Women dress in "nice" clothes because it improves their overall self-esteem; it makes them feel pretty (and witty and gay. . . not that gay, this is a movie reference from 1961). Women dress as sexual objects because they want to be viewed as sexual objects. . .but only by guys they deem worthy. "Whore" is the wrong word; some creepy guy with money is not going to get into their pants. "Slut" might be better, but "selectively slutty" is more accurate.
