I would mock this. I would have to. NO way out of it. I couldn't even tolerate a man as a friend who'd even consider this. Otherwise the act/situation itself doesn't shock me. I mean really, if there's men paying women to spank them while wearing diapers and shitting in them - for real, this is a thing - this cuddling stuff doesn't even rate a 1/10 on the shock-factor scale.

I have no doubt that as a primate & a mammal I and all humans "need cuddling" at a young age. It's physiological, it's normal, it's what we are. Some bastards did experiments with baby monkies, barbed-wire versions of mommy-monkey dolls and even once dripping ice-water from hoses inside and the babies would still cling to the only mommy-thing they had in their cages.

The cuddle is that important for a young primate and perhaps all mammals.

That doesn't mean once we're grown men we still need to act that way.

Not that surprising to see, Human beings are social animals and physical contact floods the brain with all sorts of feel good hormones. I just don't get why they wouldn't spend that money on a hooker and get laid while they're at it.

I think you nailed it here. It's a form of prostitution that's acceptable to feminists because women get paid without giving up anything while incel omegas further humiliate themselves. It's like a new level of orbitership where orbiters actually pay to be in orbit.

Yet I don't regard it as entirely absurd, as I'm sure there are some people out there who might genuinely benefit from such a service, like a lonely pensioner whose spouse died or a person handicapped in such a way that prohibits them from enjoying sexual intimacy.

I agree this is possible, and I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be legal if people want to pay for it (for the exact same reasons prostitution should be legal). But I think those are fringe cases being highlighted for public relations purposes and most "lonely pensioners" would find the idea of paying a stranger for hugs humiliating.

I'd be willing to bet good money that "thirtysomething female" books a fuck load more appointments than "mature male" and that all of her best customers are lonely incel men.

It's sad. It's the kind of thing I hope would be a SNL sketch but it's not. I would like to say it's a sign of the times but I think this situation has been going on for generations- it took the internet age to make it a business.

You look at MGTOW\monk mode and I think part of it is a response to this- the cost for affection becomes greater than the affection itself. Somewhere there are people who have a void and are willing to pay for someone to fill it. It's a emotional prostitution ring. Guys who at one point actually not only wanted sex but companionship are cutting themselves off because the cost is too high. Now somewhere some guy is saying "I'll rub one out and skip the hooker, but pay for some cuddling and companionship".

And somehow I think that if you discussed this in a mixed group of men and women the women would think it's ok for them (and blame men for not being "emotionally available") but for guys he would be a creep whose probably some kind of hugging fetish pervert.

It's another double standard- men only want sex and women just want to be held. One of the best weekends I ever had with a LTR was when we were both sick as a dog and just curled up on the couch and watched movies. Say to your girl "can we just curl up for a bit" and she will probably think you were cheating on her.

Depends on what the intentions are. If the guy is paying for hugging and then hoping it will lead some where else he is being stupid. If the guy just likes to hug, and doesn't expect anything else nothing wrong with it.
