It's mostly aspirational. That said, while you may not be a cold hearted sociopath you can certain exhibit similar traits as them and adopt an equivalent mindset.

You can't think your way into being a sociopath but it's obviously possible to harden your heart and run out of fucks to give.

Yes but "eventually" and immediately are two totally different things.

people can't achieve these things, what's the point in talking about them?

The point is to teach people (in this case men) to stop being doormattish white knights who care too much and wear their hearts on their sleeves.

While some genuinely do seek to become (or advise becoming) some sort of modern day Patrick Bateman, most are looking for ways to overcome what they perceive to be weakness.

The problem here is morality is not sexually rewarded. There are lots of immoral people having more sexual success than moral ones.

Some men, beta white knights, are convinced to think their morality, chivalry and servitude will bring them pussy.
