22 years old. Just finished my bachelors over the sum. Have a full time job that pays decently well, but I could care less about the industry I’m working in. Currently in the process of applying to law schools as that is the path I am planning to go down. Would start next fall. Prepping for the LSAT is a lot, to make up for mediocre GPA, and trying to balance work with it.

I read a ton in my free time, all sorts of things.

Here’s my issue. I messed around a ton in college, just had a good time. Regret some of that now but also at the same time had great memories. Now, I am seeing all my long time friends just live it up. Taking restaurant jobs and moving to fun locations. Long road trips. Spending tons of time out on the water. Just living up life.

I go out to spend some time with them when I can get away from my overload of work I sometimes feel a little jealous inside. I want that care free life. I hate spending so much time behind a computer. I want more free time, and more sun.

Is this just part of growing up? I do want to go to law school and move up the ladder of life, and I do really need this shitty job rn, so I don’t get to down on myself because I realize I’m doing what I have to. But idk wondered if anyone had anything they wanted to say about a situation like this- no specific questions.

Thank you
