I dont think it's fair to say the person was innocent but the cop lied and that should be grounds enough to throw out a case.

If she did that, she should be disbarred. If a prosecutor figures out that the accused is innocent, they're supposed to drop the case.

I watched the hair-colored, minority-hired female prosecutor in my trendy county apologize to a prominent local businessman after his now-ex-wife filed false allegations against him. It took awhile, though, and the prosecutor was rapid up until her apology.

It was a woman prosecutor in the OJ trial too.
