Goebbels was the biggest hypocrite.

His propaganda was based on the preservation of the traditional family unit, yet he was adulterous and unfaithful. He also advocated masculinity based on strength and honour yet he himself was feeble and weaselly.

This is rubbish, male birds have much brighter plumage than female birds. Some make birds perform intricate dances to attract a mate.

I don't know if the Nazis were hypocrites, but what I do know is that I can now claim that TRP is, at least in some small sense, literally Hitler.

R.J. Overy's does better work on the Nazi economy than anybody else out there. I would recommend a thorough grounding in his research before reading other stuff.

Does Tooze really argue that there is a 'common perception' that Hitler did not mean to use the Sudeten Crisis to provoke war? Because literally every scholar that I have read or studied with takes it for granted that yes, the Sudeten Crisis was intended to produce a war, and that Hitler regarded it as a failure when Beneš threw his hands in the air and said, "You want it? Fine. You fucking got it." I recommend Noakes & Pridham's Nazism 1919-1945 Volume 3: Foreign Policy, War and Racial Extermination: A Documentary Reader, which has a number of very interesting primary sources related to the Sudeten Crisis.

They weren't hypocrites. The Nazis did what was best for the Aryan race. The women saw a strong horse and were drawn to it.

Not hypocrisy because I doubt that he would have let them stay here should the Axis powers have won the war. It was to hold up the economy and ammunitions factory while the Nazis went off to war.

During the war all the major powers had their own hypocritical spells, Rosie the Riveter only lasted a few weeks but at the end of the day all nations are selling an image.
