Try not being a horrible overbearing MIL who is convinced that what she did thirty years ago is equivalent to what the doctor advised your DIL to do. I assume that if you're having trouble finding friends anywhere in whatever country you're in, the problem is probably you, not them.

Give him the tools to succeed at whatever it is he wants to do or achieve in life.

Lots of books when he's younger
Sign him up for sports and clubs
Start teaching him pre-algebra when he starts 6th grade.
Weightlifting when he turns 15

If he wants to do STEM, he's be comfortable with math. If it's liberal arts, he's have decent vocabulary and comprehension from reading a lot. If it's fucking around, he'll be muscular and can pull some whores.

Your son is not someone for you to live through. You wouldn't plant a flower and try to get it to grow a certain way. You give it the best conditions to grow however it wants.

It's his life. You can give advice and raise him to be what you see as a good man, but finding him a wife and expecting grandkids by a certain deadline is extremely controlling behavior.
