My dad got season tickets and would take me to the games, once I learned the rules of the game, I started to enjoy it. :)

I'm a woman and I love football.

I like my team (and I'm aware that I'm cheering for their laundry, essentially), I like competition, and I like athleticism. I LOVE the strategy, and trying to predict what will be happening next.

I also like hanging out with my friends on football Sundays (and college football Saturdays), eating wings, and drinking.

IDGAF about the players being alpha - hell, my alma mater had to kick 7 players off the team in the last 30 days. That made me ashamed, honestly.

I like hockey. Everybody in my neighborhood played including several girls.I played recreational women's hockey until i was 19 or 20. I went to high school with a couple of guys who played pro ( no name dudes) it has always been my number one spectator sport. My grandmother was a rabid Leafs fan and my town had a Junior A club.

I don't care about football. I live in the South so college football is worshipped at insane cult levels. I did follow CFL when I lived in Canada and went to a few Tigercat games.

Because I enjoy sports and football is the best spectator sport IMO. Baseball is too slow. Basketball, while entertaining can be too fast. Soccer is just too much non-stop running. Hockey is cool at the physical game. So is tennis.

Football is just a perfect pace for me. Also I grew up in a household where Sunday's after church was dedicated to NFL. So I had no choice in appreciating it.

What type of football are you talking about? I like European football (soccer ), because I played it as a kid, and my kids play it; I like Australian Rules because it's a damn good spectical and Mr Wombat used to play; I like rugby union because quite a few of my girlfriends played it at uni and it's fast flowing and fun to watch; but I don't really like rugby league or gridiron.

I don't like or care about football but I enjoy the socializing and food that comes with watching it. It's a great bonding activity. Plus, sometimes even someone who's ambivalent about football like I am can appreciate a really good game, like Texas Tech vs. TCU yesterday. (Did y'all see that game? Damn.)

But I'm more of a baseball girl myself.

The only woman I know who likes football is the girl who lived across the street from us when I was growing up. She would play it with my brother and some others sometimes in our backyard. I found out later she was gay, and absolutely rocks flannel.

They do?! Where do I find these women! I've met some much older women who are into sports, but the young attractive ones are either totally not interested or clearly faking interest because they think it makes them "the perfect balance of girly and tomboy tee hee!"

99% of women don't give a fuck about sports. Sure they'll crush on Ryan Kerrigan but that's just because he's a famous wealthy alpha they don't actually care about his sport. Some women just pretend to like sports to look cool in front of the guys.
