Every single one of these kids, and I mean every one, is the child of a single mother.

here's a better pattern: they're almost all black, then mestizo/amerindian, then a few whites, and zero north east asians.

have you ever read about identical twins separated at birth, and how by adulthood they have very similar IQ and personalities? check out 'twin sisters, a world apart'.

have you ever looked at adoption studies, which show by adulthood, adopted children's IQ more closely resemble their biological parents whom they've never met than their adoptive parents whom raised them.

identical twins raised apart have much closer IQs than fraternal twins raised together.

basically, i think it's more genetics than single mothers (though i'm sure single motherhood is partially responsible for some children ending up in the more antisocial range of their genetic potential).

why are we doing these children, and society at large, a grave disservice by leaving them in the care of patently irresponsible women

i don't think we should stop blacks from having children.

What needs to change? What policies need to change so that we can start raising children into productive adults?

immigration should only allow north east asians, and western/northern europeans into a country. that would effectively solve your problem.

Better promotion of the family unit. In the 60's single motherhood for whites was around 5% and for blacks it was around 20%.

Blame it on women's liberation.
Blame it on hook-up culture.
Blame it on higher education costs hindering family life.
Blame it on the shitty job market.
Blame it on divorce law.

Or whatever else that may contribute, but I honestly think that if we as a society had a stronger sense of the family unit, a lot of society's problems would work themselves out.

Any dumb slut can become a mother. There are no qualifications or prerequisites.

And once she's wrapped herself in the unassailable cloak of motherhood she is regarded as holy, heroic, and honorable and any inclination to force her to stand on her own two feet is met with cacophony of raging harpies who insist that such policies are anti-woman and any (male) politician see harboring such views is quickly shouted down and out of office.

This is not a problem which is going to solve itself, which is ironic, because it is a problem that would solve itself if we all decided to do nothing about it.

Women aren't making irrational choices about their bodies. They are making the same choices they've always made. That choice is the result of a simple truth: it's easier to make a baby and have someone else support you than it is to get a job and make a life for yourself.

Our government, while stingy and openly reluctant has actually been quite generous with young women in a way they were never generous with young men. Women, having achieved no greater feat than to spread her legs and 9 months later burst out her own humunculous and personal cash cow are (regardless of age) bestowed the full rights of adulthood and entitled to a myriad of financial incentives and programs which will cloth, feed, house, and educate her children and herself. Even our veterans don't receive such automatic benefits unless they should become crippled due to service and certainly we can agree that's a price far exceeding that of the single mother.

All this as well as raiding the property of the hapless father on behalf of the mother--a person with no reproductive rights, or parental rights that he cannot win in court. At once men are charged with the responsibility of being good fathers while simultaneously made powerless to achieve such a goal in the face of an unwilling mother.

So then, single motherhood is an incentive based system which rewards women for reproducing willy nilly and therefore the solution to this problem is to eliminate those incentives.

End AFDC, WIC, and all the myriad of after school programs that act as defacto child care. Stop guaranteeing child support from the father or from the government in lieu of a father who cannot and never will be able to pay.

The people financially responsible for children are their parents and extended family. Let the mother and father of single mothers worry about whether she has a place to live and food and child care. We should be reducing the rights of single mothers rather than expanding them. We should be declaring adult single mothers who are dependent to be less capable rather than imbuing 13 year old mothers as legal adults.

The government has taken on the role of the uber father and it's clear at this point that it is doing a horrible job.

Of course, none of that will happen. With women being a majority of the vote they simply won't vote away their own entitlements and privileges in pursuit of a more stable society. Stability is the responsibility of men. Enjoying life and being happy is the right of women.

Just as women wanted to vote without being burdened with the obligation of military service so to do they want lots of free stuff without being burdened with paying for it themselves.

Eventually, the money will run out. Then we'll see.
