I guess I don't even get the logic in the article. He says that being a good guy didn't work because women got bored, left, and broke his heart. Then he became an asshole and did well with women, but only for short-term relationships. Then he regrets his behavior, and says that if he had continued being a good guy, he might be married. The part I don't get is: what makes him think that things would've worked out so well in his hypothetical "being a good guy" scenario when they weren't working out for him back when he acted like that?

Edit: By the way, RSD did a recent video on this topic. They argue that some women like the asshole, and they'll chase, but it tends to be women with daddy issues. Other girls will like the good guy, and they tend to have decent relationships with their dads. I also think that very attractive women get bored of guys being nice to them, so being an asshole and not getting the validation makes her interested, but that's only for really hot girls that are getting constant validation. I look back on some of the girls I spent time with during my Asshole Era, and it still pains me to know that if I would’ve allowed myself to behave like a normal, emotionally functioning human being, I might have, like, a wife right now.

Or they would have gotten bored and left, as the others did before them.
