I can never fully trust a girl due to my life experiences of being lied to by them. Everyone from the girls I was interested in to my own mother tried to lie to and manipulate me. Once I understood that I became by default untrusting of all women.

Only person you can truly trust is yourself. I've been lied, manipulated and cheated on by my last 2 exs to know that I will never invest heavy stakes (living together, kid together, pay for expensive stuff) in a women again. The juice is not worth the squeeze. However I wouldn't be opposed to getting into a committed LTR, but best believe I'm not gonna fully invest in her and I'll have women lined up for when it's over. This isn't coming from a fear or insecurity, just that the potential fallout from an invested relationship isn't worth the benefits imo

Experience made me reluctant to trust again. I was already skeptical and jaded and thought I had vetted properly, myself and everyone that knew this girl thought she'd never hurt a fly and was sweet as hell, totally old school values and said/did everything right. Ended up being a compulsive liar, we were engaged and together for about 4 years. Best thing that ever happened to me was finding out about the lying and cheating because it brought me here and opened my eyes, never been more independent and in control, feels good man! So yeah, even when you think you've done your homework, and they pass the tests, invariably they seem to have a penchant for deception.
