You need to make new friends. I had to stop hanging out with my old friends because of this. It’s not always a beta/alpha thing. It was because I was doing very well in life and they weren’t. It was one guy in particular. Had to have all the attention and was obviously self conscious and worried I would steal his fire. I got into a college he didn’t, got a job he didn’t, got into the fraternity he didn’t, expanded my social circle he didn’t. You get the picture. We were good friends in high school but the jealousy got to him. I would have hung out with my college friends but they all live on west coast.

I made new friends and I prefer them much more than those guys. They hangout with much hotter chicks too so it’s been going well.

Guys that typically do this are self conscious. I just read the four agreements and I realized while reading this how true this was. Confident men will never do this.

But people are also like sheep so I would stop hanging out with these dudes before it spreads to other social circles. They obviously want you to be the punching bag role for whatever reason.

Stop thinking about it so much, and begin to focus on yourself and what you'd like to achieve. You can't be high SMV if no one respects you, and certainly not if you stop respecting yourself. Work on your self esteem, your goals, better yourself and try to objectively get to the route cause of why you feel they've lost respect for you.... Could just be that you're outgrowing them?

Just don't hide away in these moments. It is the worst thing you can do. Trust me.
