Only as much as you need to for work and no more.

You're working, you're not there for chit chat and gossip.

You don't need to smile or be overly friendly. It can be interpreted the wrong way. Be polite and to the point.

Document everything in writing. Get an email trail going for ALL WORK ASSIGNED to you. If they tell you in person, tell them to confirm in email. If they don't, DOUBLY make sure to write them an email and ask them to confirm. if they won't, there's a reason they are talking to you instead of writing you. Cover ... YOUR... ASS!.

At this point, if there's an elevator, I won't go in it if it's just me an one or two other women. It's safer to take the stairs. My job and lively hood comes first.

You don't need to be giving them advice on life. That's not your job.

If they are being emotional about work.. nod and shut your mouth. Show them you understand and commiserate without inserting yourself. You have no opinions. You just listen. If they ask you questions, you say.. i don't know. or, "that must have been difficult/stressful for you".

Let's say your job has nothing to do with social interaction. Say you're a software developer and just want to be left alone to code. Get yourself registered as on the spectrum. you now have a disability they have to take into account or they are liable.

Don't. You talk about the job and that's it. Women in my office are a sort of mobile furniture that moves documents around and is usually in my way. I don't talk to them unless I'm required to by the task at hand, and then only enough to get whatever information I need to accomplish said task without them. I don't joke with, flirt with, or damn sure mentor any woman in my workplace. I am never alone with any of them for any reason. Women are not to be trusted.
