Depends. One thing is not setting the date too far away from the present. Chances she will flake are higher.

Second thing is having at least some contact before the date (unless the date is the same or next day). Not texting a lot (that definitely kills attraction), but a couple of messages back and forth help your chances of her not flaking.

If you are texting for logistics only and calling her on the phone to talk you've put yourself above most men who are bugging her for pussy. It shows you aren't thirsty. If you are able to control yourself and limit your communications with her it sets you apart even further. It gets them wondering about you.

i have rarely had to deal with flakes. with that said, i don't do tinder, or any online dating. i approach and meet women IRL..

the rule is, text is for logistics. and, for the most part, i adhere to this. i will throw in a few curve balls though depending on the chick and my gut feeling.

example: i don't write them to see if they we are still on. i will write, something like: tonight at "matty's irish pub" at 9...

or, what i used to like to do, "meet me in front of (where ever) at 8 and bring warm gloves..."

it's different and they wonder what is this all about.

sometimes, when she replies about how she is looking forward to it, and is intrigued, i'll reply, "i'm not going to have sex with you on the first date..."
