Because many of them are there solely for validation, and all of the ones who are above a 5 have a whirlwind of constant options/dick. Probabilistically speaking, you are not the top of the hierarchy, so she gives you a small shot (giving you her number) while also giving out her information to a bunch of other dudes higher in the hierarchy than you that she's def going to fuck.

girls do this for a variety of reasons, one is they get scared because they know the rubber is about to hit the road.

I went out with a 28 year old 7 from Tinder once. We were talking about the nature of online dating and I asked her to show me her Tinder from her own phone. She had 2,500+ unread messages. That's why they ghost.

A lot of the time it's not even conscious on the girl's part. You entertained her for 2 nanoseconds and she gave you her number, but then she goes to take a piss and when she gets back she already has 30 new matches to go through. She probably just straight up forgot about you.
