It’s a long read I’m sorry but where I stand with my ex is kind of complicated. When me and my ex boo were talking she introduced me to her two friends and we really bonded. After we broke up I still stayed close with her friends because they were chill and they weren’t involved in our relationship you know? I stopped talking to my ex completely and moved on, it did hurt at first but I found myself rather quickly. Anyways I had a party a few weeks after our breakup and I invited her friends way before we broke up , and she got mad that they still showed up and they pretty much stopped talking, which I thought was dumb because I didn’t have nor did I want anything to do with her anymore so she had no reason to be mad that her friends went to my party. Her friends and I haven’t talked to her for weeks, until today, you see my locker is on the same hallway as my ex’s locker, so I see her every single day. I avoided eye contact with her, I wouldn’t acknowledge her, and since her ex friends lockers are also by her locker every time I’d be around there would be this bad vibe and she would usually end up walking away. Anyways the Holiday season was coming up so I took some marshmallow type candy to school to give out to friends. I went by her ex friends’ lockers to give them the candy, and without thinking I handed one to my ex and said “Merry Christmas”, to which she replied with a surprised smile “Thank you”. Now honestly I feel like I did this out of pity; I took her friends and word got around that she wasn’t shit. I have no intentions to get back with her, it’s the Holidays you know so I was in good spirit, and also I don’t blame her for being a hoe, a hoe will be a hoe, lowkey I ain’t shit either. Anyways I did not expect anything in return, but she texted me later in the afternoon with “Thank you for the candy :) I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year”. A part of me regrets giving her the candy because I don’t want her to think that I’m looking to get back into her life, I wanted it to be more of a “I moved on, you should too” type of thing. Should I even reply? Lowkey ngl I wouldn’t mind having a little bit of action with her one last time, but she did make a fool out of me so my intentions with her would change this time around. Should I see what I can get out of it?
