You're at the bench putting 45s on, nothing crazy just getting back into the swing of things after some holiday interruptions to your routine. You warm up a bit, take a sip of water and lay down. You know you should put these on even though it's been a week since you've touched them. Why? That's your baseline. That's your minimum. That's your standard.

You're at work typing up a report due tomorrow. Candace comes over asks you if you can help her with something. You answer "No, gotta finish this for tomorrow, shoot me an email if no one else can help". You didn't apologize, you know your boundaries, you know your objectives. She's an adult, emancipated from the patriarchy. She can figure it out.

You're at the bar and approach a 7 with a smirk on your face. "Those glasses aren't even prescription, you're not fooling me" You start to banter, ask what she's drinking, don't buy her the next even though she expects it, kiss her within 5 minutes, have her hand on you after 10, and she's home in an hour and a half.

These things don't happen in isolation. They don't happen because you peaked at max alpha status, they happened because you took steps to get there. Now they're habit, routine, and easy. They're fun but no longer surprising or scary. You're used to it because you've been there done that.

Actions are easier to measure though. Pushing the boundaries of your comfort needs to be regular for you, because stagnation is not an option. But what have you done to push yourself mentally? Are you still angry? Are you blaming people for your problems? Are people in YOUR frame or you putting on a front of a macho man?

Fake it till you make it really doesn't matter when your mindset hasn't changed one bit. How many posts on here reek of guys disappointed in people because their expectations are skewed. Take some time to look at yourself in the mirror, the fluff of some lays with a 6 don't actually help you if you're still thinking about yourself and the world like an angry high school virgin.

Police your thoughts like the roads of a broken Soviet state. Whoever can get under your skin, cause you to change your approach, delay your commitment to a decision, they have power in your life because you allowed it. Maybe you ought to allow some because they're the fucking CEO, but if it's the cutie at Starbucks or the drunk slut at the club that's getting that reaction it's on YOU. Crack down on it hard and fast so that those seeds don't take root. It's your damn mind, your damn life, with no reason to surrender real estate to those people.

Frame is not just about a conversation and who cracks the jokes first. It's about your course of action and the thoughts and emotions that drive them. Be the cause of your own success or failures, not the follower of circumstances or reactor to happenings. Wake up, take some action, and know why you did it. Because if someone asks you why you're doing something and you can't give an honest and reasonable answer ( not that you have to answer to others for your life ) you'll be pretty pissed at yourself. Even a simple "because it's fun" is better than "everyone else was doing it" or "it was expected of me".

Very few truly successful self made people have any difficulty whatsoever with these kind of exercises. They've been flexing their mental and emotional faculties for so many years through so many different challenges, that their baseline of 45 pounds is the fucking 2008 meltdown. Their "approach a 6 and get her number" is organizing a multi million dollar deal on a 2 hour window. But it didn't happen by accident and it didn't happen overnight.

So go find some WHY and set the tone tomorrow.

PS - none of this works if you don't lift. Go lift. Sleep, and drink water. Also read some fucking books.
