As fucked as she seems, there are plenty of situations where you dropped the ball. Going out of your way to help her improve (GED, dropping her off and picking her up, helping her with math), these are things she needed to strive on, not you. It seems like you spent too much time trying to improve and help her, rather than help your self.

Despite her saying you're her world and all that nonsense, you enabled that type of behavior. You also confirmed it when losing frame and begging her to come back to you.

By definition, you're a nice guy. For your own sake, read the sidebar resources and "No More Mr. Nice Guy." Start the rehab on these bad habits now.

Welcome, brother. Heal up, read the sidebar, lift. I would suggest not posting on TRP for a long time.

You have a lot of pain and anger to wade through, and that's a part of the process. In another 6 months you'll look back and realize what a cringe-fest this relationship was, and how it's reflected in this post. (Also, I will say you dodged a bullet.) You're a textbook example of why you need to focus on yourself first and always, so you can remain in control of your life and your relationship.

Aren't women fun? They can go from "she wants to take my last name and have my kids, grandkids, grow old together and sit on the patio swing and watch out grandchildren play in the front yard" to "she wants to break up" in a matter of days.

Anyone who has swallowed the pill would have seen this coming. It just sucks for the BPs who get blindsided like this.
