I’m in a year long training position in sales for a construction company. The stuff I need to learn is complicated and takes awhile to learn.
I have two mentors that I’m training with and they are both older, about 60 years old. One is my manager and one is in the position I’m taking over. They treat me like I’m a child and it’s fucking exhausting. I’m 23 for reference.
They quiz me on things all day and then lecture me for hours on end about things. They give me shit about little things. I’m being patronized all day and I don’t know how much more I can take.
I’d move on to another job but this pays way more than anything else I’d be able to get with my work experience.
I get I’m young and new to the workforce but getting the child treatment is unbearable.
Any tips?
