It's possible to trust again, but why rush?

You can stay single as long as you want, and just focus on making yourself the best version of you it's possible to be. Focus on your own happiness, your own pleasure, your own friends and family.

Maybe once you've spent that time on yourself, you'll decide being single is the best thing for you, or maybe you'll want someone else in your life, but you really shouldn't even be thinking of a new relationship when you're still in this frame of mind anyway.

It’s hard, but try not to internalize this guys disgusting behavior as some kind of measure of your self worth. A lot of these guys keep a lot of secrets and tell a lot of lies, so forgive yourself for getting involved with him, because you couldn’t have known the details. And remember that there were good things that happened and you were attracted to those things and you tried.

And you were obviously attractive to them to make the effort to be with you, and there may have even been some true feelings among the deceit.

You will trust again, and there are good people out there and the next time take more time getting to know the person before getting in a relationship with them. Take your sweet time.
