Hi guys! I’m looking for some outside perspective here…

I went out on a date with an early 20s (20/21) girl who I matched with on bumble yesterday. We hit it off pretty well chatting yesterday and I set up a time to pick her up this evening. Things usually go smoothly for me when I’m picking up girls on days. I went to go and pick her up from her place, met her outside and hugged, and then walked to my car chatting.

We went to a public park/viewpoint place in my area of the city that I usually take my dog. It’s beautiful at night since everything is all lit up and you get a great view. We walked for a bit chatting and I was kino’ing her most of the time. We ended up finding a bench and sat down and started chatting more. Things started to escalate so I went in for the kiss that I normally do. She was receptive and we ended up making out for a few minutes before she stopped me randomly…

She said a couple of things around being in public (even though we were the only ones there) and how she doesn’t — kiss on the first date? We made out for a few minutes… Anyway, the mood was dampened on her side and I ended up taking her home. She went on to me asking why I didn’t ask to kiss her and why asking for consent.. I’m confused since we were making out for a few minutes and she seemed to enjoy it? This was the first time ever for me experiencing this situation.

Anyway, after I dropped her off she seemed to cool off a bit as she asked me a few questions before we said bye. I’m curious if I should just next this woman altogether, or be open to if she reaches out again? Thanks for your advice.
