I work in a small company (20 people). My girlfriend joined us two years ago and started dating me in January. Since then, two of the office's women started hating on her, increasingly so.

First it was jealous gossip, so it was harmless. Then, it escalated to some professional things and they adopted a sort of "stay in your place, you bottom cunt" kind of deal. The assumption was she was doing whatever she wanted at work because she was with me, so they started lying to our boss about her to make her look bad.

Things got out of hand and I intervened to put an end to this, and now she's professionally untouchable. However, the women doing this ganged up with other women and are essentially excluding her from everything.

The worst part is, one of them had absolutely nothing against her, but the moment she started dating me AND started trying to defend herself professionally, she became the enemy and got viciously attacked. Her justification, in private, was: "well, Pete (me) was a piece of shit to me in the past, so now I'm gonna do the same to her"...

It got to the point where they even mock her in private in front of other women (the other women accept this and say nothing, even though they have absolutely nothing against my girlfriend and were close until a month ago jesus).

But, in all of this, my relationship with them is still good, ie, I can get away with anything and they attack me way, way less. But not her.

Why do they hate her so much? And if I'm able to mend bridges with these women FOR ME, how can I make sure they stop this shit on her?
