I've just read a new post made by the Reddit admins on their blog subreddit called ''Promote ideas, protect people'' which, translated from newspeak means ''Tone policing and censorship''. Even through I knew how little effect it would have, against my better judgement I decided to give it a go and express my disagreement on this.

The usual thing happened of course. One third of the comments attacking me on a personal level rather than what I said, some projecting, and the usual geniuses who feel it neccesary to look a person's history to see wheter they post in any of the Non-approve subreddits (I can imagine the guy felt full of himself when he saw I'm on TRP).

It's amazing how a community of men who mind their own bussiness and harasses nobody (but each other, heh) it's the one that gets harassed the most. I mean, there you had people trying to shit on me because I post on TRP even through I didn't make a single mention of it on the post I made on the blog.

But whatever, let the fools be fools and the hamsters spin. I didn't came here to whine and play victim, but rather, to share with you gentlemen a metaphor regarding ''hate'' speech that I came up with.

Imagine Speech is a bottle of wine. Some are good, some are bad, some are cheap, some are French, etc. Now, somebody doesn't want you to drink a specific wine. Maybe they want it all for themselves, maybe they are a competitor, maybe they don't like wine at all and want no one else to enjoy, whatever the reason.

So what do they do? They remove the label of the bottle, and put a different label on it, one they made themselves. Now the bottle of wine says ''POISON'' on big green letters.

Does the bottle of wine become poison just because you changed the label? Of course not, Reality (what's objective) doesn't change, what changes is our perception of it (what's subjective)

Does the bottle know it's label was changed? Obviously not, Because objectives have no intrisic virtues associated with them. There are no evil rocks, no nazi cucumbers, no angry trees, nor are there fascist chairs. Yet there is hate speech?

You might be thinking, ''Well, someone will drink it and find out it's wine and not poison!''. But think about what happens next. The person who drank the ''poison'' and found out it's actually wine goes to someone else and says, ''Hey, check this out, I know it says poison but it's actually wine!''. No one will believe this person the benefit of the doubt, because someone willing to drink a bottle labelled ''poison'' it's clearly insane and his opinion is invalid. Then it stops being a matter of wheter it's wine or poison, but wheter the person who knows it's wine is trying to kill you or not.

There is no such thing as hate speech. Speech is speech, and it has been that way since mankid learned to talk, and will be that way until we inevitably nuke ourselves to extintion. Amen.
