A pretty common dilemma but an important one. Sounds like the ideal scenario would be if your son was able to treat everyone with respect without compromising his boundaries or sense of independence.

I‘ve noticed that people with a strong, healthy sense of self-worth are good at striking this balance. They understand what they value and are able to make confident decisions based on those values, which helps them know where to draw the line.

I find that people who lack clear goals tend to flounder when making decisions. They try to please others at their own expense, but they also blame others for their own failures.

I highly recommend teaching your sons how to set clear values and goals while also understanding what is and isn’t within their control.

“Respect them as human beings” should only mean that you do not mistreat them. Otherwise they should only get respect If they earn it...good luck with that one. It would be much more constructive to teach your son to not trust people, especially women.

I remember this from years ago. Boy's are easy. Girls are hard. It's true.

All you have to do is show him the truth. Tell him, don't just take my word for it, observe for yourself. Once he knows what to look for, he will see it.

Remember this about children. It's not what you say, it's what you do. They learn by watching you. Far more than you realize.

Be a good role model in how you handle women. Try to find the middle between being weak and being harsh with a woman.

Explain your mistakes, and successes honestly with your kids. Own up and explain when they see you having been a simp--we've all been there at some point.

Don't let the mother make him into her replacement husband, her gay friend, or her confidant. It can happen even if you're still married.

I tell my son to recognise and heed the red-flags when it comes to women. I wish my father had told me this because my path would have been very very different.

My son is 16 and already understands female nature. Gen Z is red pilled AF about women. I think the kid was MGTOW before I was. He and his friends can appreciate a dime piece aesthetically but they all know the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. They have zero interest in dating. None.

The best way to respect women is to avoid them as much as possible.

Girlfriends may be good companions for life's journey, but wives are owners and expect you to carry them every step of the way.

Men with the best lives have the fewest number of significant ties to women. The most miserable creatures on earth are men who are 5+ years married. Wives are like flesh-eating bacteria: Even if they fail to kill you, the scars never go away.

You can love or understand females but not both, that goes double for respect since it is earned.
