Hey fellow MGTOWs.
That`s my first post here and it isn`t especially about MGTOW more about seeking advice by you guys who have more experience in life than I do. I`m 20 years old and currently enrolled in university, but I`m actually not really satisfied in the place where I am right now. There are several reasons on the one hand I get really pissed off of the feminism probaganda they spread in my econ program on the other hand it could also be covid, what definitely changes the whole uni experience and so on. I just don`t enjoy the program that much, perhaps not enough time has passed yet to have a solid opinion about the program therefore I will definitely finish the first year.
But now to my question, I actually got a job offer for a bank that specializes in private banking/asset management, and I declined because I thought that studying at a uni is important for my future career. At the age of 17 I began spending more and more time reading about economics and the stock market and I also started investing, that`s my passion. I always thought about working in the high-finance industry for which you need at least a bachelors degree, but recently I started thinking if it`s really worth it. The bank would pay a okey salary and I would also have enough time next to the job to start a side hustle. Recently I just regretted that I took the offer for the program and didnt decide for the bank. I could still be in my hometown, where I have the greatest places around me, wonderful lakes and mountains, everything that I actually need to be happy. I also don`t have to worry to have not enough cash because I won`t have to support a family, only myself.
Do you think that I won`t get as far as I could in my career if I don`t have any uni degree, there are still many people who think that a uni degree is the most important thing to be successful in life. I actually don´t think so but I can imagine that if there are two people who apply for a job that probably the only with the degree gets the job, even though the other guy would have more experience.
For context I`m coming from Austria, so if some European MGTOWs could give me some adivce I would be really thankful.
I hope the stuff is not too confusing, I wish you all a fabolous weekend and thanks for reading till the end.
Edit:
Thank you guys for the responses. Some of you actually confirmed what I`ve already thought, that I should just pull through and make the difference, that I won`t earn now, up later on, because the degree will probably open more doors for me. I guess a huge bonus that I have compared to some others is, that in Austria university is free and my parents are super supportive with the rest. I really appreciate that you took time to read my post and also give me great answers.
Cheers
