Moving to NYC. Any tips from New Yorkers?

East Village and LES are the most "fun" for right out of school, esp if you are of the frat/sports variety and like going to bars.

Getting laid in NYC can be super easy. But first you have to get your stuff straight. Up until you get your life down pat, you might find you can get certain types of chicks. Like if you were in a frat in college, you can go to the post-greek life bars and run into those same kind of chicks and do pretty well. But overall you are not going to clean up.

If you get ahead in your career, get in good shape, have reasonable style, learn where all the good spots are, and groom a good few different circles of activities and friends... the city is your oyster. You'll learn the different styles that attract different types of girls, and you'll learn what different types of girls want. There's every type of girl in the city.

Most of these things above take time. One thing that will set you apart right away is being able to connect people from different backgrounds, throwing a good get-together or party. Most people in the city are trying to meet other high quality people (everybody thinks they're high quality). If you help them, it will pay off.
