A bit of backstory; I shoot concerts as a way to get into my favorite shows for free while doing something I enjoy. The work is for a local blog but it's mutually beneficial, I only shoot the shows I want.

I was shooting a Copeland show and the venue is small with no gate for photographers so I was stuck in the crowd but had managed to garner a front row spot to shoot from. I noticed a couple of girls chatting next to me as I waited for the show to start. The cute non chunky one had made her friend switch her spots next to me. I had made a clever crack that the front man had repeated for the crowd, which probably got her attention. Once Copeland took to the stage doing what they do, making girls feel the tingles, I decided to use it to my advantage.

I was shooting across her face but had noticed her enamored look and shot a few frames and kept about my business. During a little break between songs I showed her what I took and playfully said. "oops" she initiated some playful kino to which I reciprocated. After the show was finished I handed her my phone and told her I'd send her the photo if she put her number in, she laughed and obliged.

Two days later I finally texted her asking if I should watch a movie to finish working on the photos. She replied "If I were you I'd watch a movie" Thinking why not, I told her "see you in 15 min" along with my address. She knocked 10 minutes later, she's been added to the plate rotation.

Old BP me would have never had the initiative to see her playful kino as interest let alone ask for the number. I'd have settled for a cute girl touched me at the show tonight.

TL;DR Use your atmosphere and surroundings to your advantage. Let someone else warm them up and take their work for your own.
