Summary

Slightly flirted with a takeout girl at a restaurant without realizing it. After reflecting, realized all the opportunities for escalation and intricacies.

Body

I am married and not looking for anything, however reading through TRP/MRP, I want to make full use of any and all opportunities where I'm interacting with an attractive girl on my own. Really so I don't lose whatever game I have (or not).

First things first, eye contact is SUPER important. There was a helpful post I saw where when looking at her, to examine what eye color she has, the details, or actually try to see your own reflection.

Anyway, I ordered takeout at a restaurant and it was just me and the cute takeout girl (HB7 though hard to tell with the baggy white button-up shirt).

First, I said something about how come all the takeout parking spots are filled when there's no one in line. I had to park at the far end of a giant parking lot. She said she's been trying to get her boss to put up a tow sign. I don't really go anywhere with this, missed opportunity.

In hindsight, I could've A&A: "that's a really good idea, how about we sneak off and call the tow truck on those cars right now!" Give her excitement, a fantasy release for her frustrations. This is where I could've escalated as far I wanted to go now that I think about it. The opportunity came up really fast so you have to be on your feet especially since this was one of the first topics.

Some other small chit-chat including the weather, etc. I ask her where she's from.

remember to ask open-ended questions to get better response; "where are you from?" vs "are you from around here?"

I pay and she asks if I want ketchup with my food. I legitimately forgot what I ordered so I had to ask her. She tells me it's for my fries, so yes to the ketchup.

the important thing was to play it off, like note the fact in a joking way to show amusement

A few moments later, she asks if I want parmesan cheese for my pizza. Yes I do, so I open up my pizza box while she grabs packets of parmesan. I act disappointed because I said I was waiting for her to get the cheese grater. She laughs and says, "you're being silly!"

now if I was looking for something, this is where I could've escalated a 2nd time. My name is RPD, what's your name? Liz (made up). Well Liz, you don't know the half of it. What time do you get off work? How about we go call a tow truck on those cars then grab drinks, etc.

I had already paid by this point and didn't say much else after that. Said thanks and went on my way.

After I walked out, I realized the old me could've made this awkward. Most likely, I would've not bothered with small talk and said the bare minimum to get my food and be done. This was me in college, purposely avoiding any and all social interaction.

Now going back to the confidence part. Besides the eye contact. I was relaxed and calm the whole time (I am just trying to get my food after all). Wasn't looking for anything, so no expectations.

Imagine re-doing the above scenario with zero confidence, stutters, looking away, fantasies of her, etc. I would've come across as either angry, stupid, weird, a creeper or all of the above.

Lesson Learned

Being confident even for small interactions are the steps you must take to build yourself up. Obviously it did enough for me to write and analyze all of this, a 10 minute conversation.

Confidence goes a long way towards increasing your SMV. By being comfortable with yourself and proper eye contact, you make a girl feel comfortable as well to talk and joke around with. In other words, bring it, otherwise potentially come off as a leery creeper.

Last thing. I lift. Without lifting, this confidence just isn't the same
