A pattern I'm seeing is that when I correct wife, she is compliant without protest, and often agrees that what I'm correcting her on needs correcting (e.g., when she's being a teenager). Especially in those cases, during next few hours, she exhibits mild, if any, moodiness. But a pretty significant shit test comes a couple hours later (usually in the form of a windy text that makes some weird unreasonable demand "going forward"). I think the shit tests are somehow related to the shame of having to be corrected. Maybe she's testing whether I can really keep disciplining her or whether I'll cave, maybe not. I don't mind (and kind of enjoy) these type of shit tests. But I think we'd have a more intimate relationship if she could take the correction without shame (if that's what it is).

Do any of you have similar observations about your wife's apparent shame, and have any of you worked with it (whether reducing it or directing it) to improve the relationship?

Also, for those of you who are "so fucking attractive" that your wife "never misbehaves" because she's "chasing the prize," this post is not soliciting your advice, but we're all glad to see you remind us of this fact anyway. So, welcome. ;-)
