Summary: I talk and somewhat complain of my recent thread being downvoted because of a point I was trying to make but wrongly made. I also spend a great deal of this post talking about how this sub cannot seem to come to conclusion on getting older and how easy or hard the game gets. I hold the belief that college is overrated and the game gets way easier when you get older.

Earlier today I posted a thread saying that college and the college experience is overhyped, especially when it comes to getting girls and getting laid. I talked about how for the most part, the colleges with the hottest girls are typically state schools where you practically need to be in a fraternity, be an athlete, or spend a lot of time playing the social circle game if you want to get reasonably hot girls. Overall, my message was that young men struggling in college should not take it personally because college is not as great as they make it out to be in terms of getting girls and getting laid. Well, surprisingly, a sub that agrees that male SMV goes up with age decided to attack me for my post which somewhat angered me but it also led me to see a flaw with the way of thinking on this sub.

At first, we came to the conclusion that the game generally gets easier for men as they hit their 30s and start to accumulate wealth, knowledge, more freedom, and a career. I agree with that.

Then, there is countless bullshit talking about how college is one giant fuckfest and how it will never be as easy for the rest of your life, and in my opinion, that is literally what it is, bullshit!

I am of the opinion that even though college is a great place to get an education, grow, and develop it is very overrated in terms of meeting women and getting laid. Girls run in tight social circles that form within the first couple months of school during freshman year. For the most part, social status is established with jocks and guys in top fraternity houses making up bulk of the 20%. The rest of the guys will not get to experience success with hot girls even if they have game, looks, and a charming personality unless they can play the social circle politics well.

Now I say that in the real world, especially big cities, it gets a lot easier as girls are more open to cold approach and become more liberal with their preferences.

I mean this is just frustrating, we can't seem to come to a conclusion on this. I agree with Rational Male's SMV chart and the game getting easier as you grow older but we have so many imbeciles on here bragging about how college is the best place on the planet. Realistically, you're in college from ages 18-24 and then you're out. College is not the fuckfest people make it out to be unless you're a rich fraternity brother or an athlete.

Lessons learned:

  • This is an issue that seems to divide some on TRP
  • We can't come to a clear conclusion on age and SMV
  • The entire SMV chart seems to just contradict itself
  • I still stand by the fact that the "college experience" and college hookup culture is overrated
  • The guys who say college were the best years for hooking up and getting laid amounted to nothing in life after graduation
