Tbh I think most men find trp by googling how to get women and fall down the rabbit hole. Some men crawl back out and apply the better parts of it to their lives(self improvement, independence, realizing that the world owes you nothing) and others get stuck in a loop of the more negative aspects(hatred, whining, too much planning not enough doing).

Men come to TRP because the world makes no sense and after exhausting all avenues that society tells them SHOULD work they finally wake up to the bullshit and start looking for uncomfortable answers

Why I'm here:

I found out the reason my dad had been so distant was because he'd been Silver Bullet'd. I found out twoX was a default sub, while they talked about banning virtually all men's rights or related subs. I read through the content and what was said, and determined on my own that TRP teaches the right content, albeit with some rather lame mnemonics, to help especially men dealing with divorce.

What I find:

TRP is a forum by people with emotional intelligence working out the meta of how to guide people that often don't have it, and with a substantial body of people who occasionally contribute but aren't as vested such as me. We often get very angry and/or confused people coming to the community for what needs to be a rather in-depth change since shallow change isn't meaningful. That in-depth change takes time, and involves misunderstanding.

Do I have emotional intelligence?:

Well, I've been married 11 years, have 2 boys. My ex-wife left me in 2008, and I have a daughter with her. I picked up my wife on the train. I'm known for having an extremely broad and long view almost all the time, but also have bouts where I'm physically exhausted and don't want to deal with anyone. My career sees me do 200 hours of work in 2 weeks and then sit on my ass like a fucking mushroom for 1 week trying to recover. It also requires careful and explicit communication. As a result, I tend to force everyone to explicitly express what they want to say and openly refuse to perform acts of telepathy. That said, most of the guys I work with consider me the nice one. Like, I'll always hold the door for the next guy, but I expect it the same.

Judge for yourself.

A lot of shit written here is literally common sense but i believe as you said it is linked to lacking in emotional intelligence, most guys i know and observes seem borderline autistic.

No. It's not lack of EQ. A guy can be plenty successful sexually with lack of EQ (ie: looks/frame and some game) being an EQ flunky. I would say a Natural Alpha bad boy who got/gets plenty of poon would score low on a Daniel Goleman type EQ book test.

The Alpha who tingles ladies doesn't empathize, he doesn't try to active listen, he doesn't emotionally support them - he is direct, assertive, aggressive, masculine, mission driven and frankly doesn't give 2 shits about their feelings, and they may not say they want this (nor always actually want this), but when they do, splooosh.

I would say it's the too empathetic (yet high EQ scoring) or the other end of the spectrum (true autists) who never make it here and never see past the BP programming, and are broken, sad, angry nice guy plow horses dying a slow death.

My take on reading for why men find their way here:

heartbreak/oneitis
lack of organic (natural) results
been cheated on, see a branch swing, hypergamy, or lack of Relationship Equity in action and WTF their way to google.
