in a LTR but I don't want it to get more serious, we don't live together or anything. I introduced her to my family and didn't like that she was asking too much about me and gossiping, and she wants to start meeting them even without me. I feel like this is trying to make the relationship more serious than it is (we've never lived together, no plans like that) and I don't want it to go in this direction.

Is it possible for me to demote her to a plate somehow? (with her being my primary). Or is that never possible, and once in a LTR you can only just break up and end it, there is no possibility of demoting.

What is your experience with this? Is it possible to demote a LTR?
